Vijay’s ‘Thalapathy 64’ now titled ‘Master’
The first look of the Lokesh Kanagaraj film was revealed on December 31, and is expected to be a summer 2020 release
Vijay’s next film with Lokesh Kanagaraj has been titled Master. In a rare tweet, the actor himself shared the first look and title of the film from his Twitter handle.
Surprisingly, the makers have opted for an English title. Vijay’s recent films such as Bigil, Theri, Bairavaa, Puli and so on have all had Tamil titles.
The cast and crew kick-started the project with a formal pooja earlier this year in October.
The star cast consists of big names such as Vijay Sethupathi, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, web series artiste Brigada and Gouri G Kishan of 96 fame in key roles. Kaithi’s Arjun Das also replaced Malayalam star Antony Varghese of Angamaly Diaries in the project. Tipped to be an action-drama, reports suggest that the movie is likely to hit screens in summer 2020.
Produced by XB Film Creators, the film has music by Anirudh Ravichander, who is collaborating with Vijay after Kaththi and the cinematography is by Sathyan Sooryan.

Synopsis
Software Sudheer fails to entertain with a weak script and silly narration.

Story: Chandu (Sudheer) and Swati (Dhanya Balakrishna) are software engineers who fall in love. But what happens when Swati finds out she poses a life threat to Chandu’s life?
Review: Is has slowly become a thing for comedians to try and turn into heroes in Tollywood. It has also become the norm to see such attempts backfire badly and Software Sudheer is no different. The film falls under the same age-old drama with some forced comedy.
Chandu and Swati get engaged but when the couple visit an astrologer, they’re told he poses a life-threat because of her astrology. What is the conspiracy behind the astrology and what it has to do with a political scam is something the film aims to explore.
Despite the name of the film, Sudheer’s character doesn’t even remotely sound like a software engineer. He’s introduced as someone so dumb, he’d pee inside a refrigerator and fix an oversized mirror on his vehicle. The comedy is laced with cheap tropes that make no sense. Director Rajasekhar Reddy tries to work out some small-screen comedy in the big-screen and fails. The punch dialogues too are nothing to write home about.
The whole concept of a techie trusting an astrologer makes you wonder what the point of it all was. If you think the first half has topped in absurdity, the second half proves you wrong and goes even further. The weakly written screenplay adds fuel to the fire and scenes like the one where a depressed Sudheer dances with five women in a location abroad don’t help either.
Rajasekhar tries hard to maintain a twist till the end but it falls flat. He also tries to bring in some agricultural drama at the end which doesn’t work with the rest of the mess. The best part of the film is when the ‘The End’ card rolls and you can finally walk out of it.
Sudheer is introduced as a hero in the film, but a weak script lets him down. But then again when he seems more invested in silly one-liners and dance moves, can’t blame the script. Dhanya is okay in a shoddily written role. Sayaji Shinde and Nassar perform well with what they’re given.
There’s nothing good about Software Sudheer except for some funny dance moves. Give this one a miss unless you want to walk out tortured.

Dabangg 3 Box Office Collection Day 7: पहले हफ़्ते में बर्थडे बॉय सलमान की ख़ूब चली दबंगई, जानिए कुल कमाई

ट्रेड जानकारों के अनुसार, बुधवार को क्रिसमस पर ज़ोरदार उछाल लेने के बाद गुरुवार को दबंग 3 के कलेक्शंस में लगभग 50 फीसदी की गिरावट आयी। दबंग 3 ने गुरुवार यानि रिलीज़ के सातवें दिन 7 करोड़ जमा किये, जिसके साथ फ़िल्म का पहले हफ़्ते का नेट कलेक्शन 126.55 करोड़ हो चुका है।
20 दिसम्बर को रिलीज़ हुई दबंग 3 को ओपनिंग वीकेंड में नागरिकता संशोधन क़ानून के विरोध में हो रहे प्रदर्शनों का सामना करना पड़ा था, जिससे ओपनिंग कलेक्शंस प्रभावित हुए थे। दबंग 3 ने 24.50 करोड़ की ओपनिंग ली थी, जबकि शनिवार को फ़िल्म 24.75 करोड़ ही जुटा सकी। जैसे-जैसे स्थितियां सामान्य हुईं, दर्शक भी सिनेमाघरों की तरफ़ लौटने लगे और रविवार को फ़िल्म को 31.90 करोड़ की रकम मिली।
वर्किंग वीक में पहले सोमवार को दबंग 3 के कलेक्शंस में काफ़ी गिरावट आयी। फ़िल्म ने सिर्फ़ 10.70 करोड़ का कलेक्शन किया। मंगलवार को कलेक्शंस के आंकड़े फिर बढ़े और 12 करोड़ का नेट कलेक्शन हुआ। वहीं, बुधवार को क्रिसमस की छुट्टी पर दबंग 3 ने ज़ोरदार जंप लेते हुए 15.70 करोड़ जमा कर लिये थे।
दबंग 3 को प्रभुदेवा ने निर्देशित किया है। फ़िल्म में सोनाक्षी सिन्हा, सई मांजरेकर और किच्चा सुदीप ने मुख्य किरदार निभाये हैं। दबंग 3 के सामने आज से अक्षय कुमार की फ़िल्म गुड न्यूज़ की चुनौती शुरू हो गयी है। राज मेहता निर्देशित फ़िल्म स्पर्म एक्सचेंज के विषय पर आधारित है। फ़िल्म में करीना कपूर ख़ान, दिलजीत दोसांझ और कियारा आडवाणी मुख्य भूमिकाओं में हैं। गुड न्यूज़ को अधिकांश क्रिटिक्स ने अच्छे रिव्यूज़ दिये हैं। ऐसे में दर्शकों से भी ज़बर्दस्त रिस्पांस मिलने की उम्मीद है।

‘Good Newwz’ movie review: Akshay and Kareena deliver the goods in this comedy of errors
A mix-up at a fertility clinic leads to mayhem and doubt in Raj Mehta’s film.
In their previous outings, Kareena Kapoor and Akshay Kumar have
been mostly wasted as a pairing. But they are in perfect sync in Raj Mehta’s Good Newwz. Kapoor is Deepti, a journalist with a wardrobe to beat Anna Wintour (the eye-watering costumes are by Aki Narula). Kumar is Varun, a car salesman who can afford a 16th-floor apartment in an expensive residential complex in Mumbai.
Deepti is desperate to have a child, Varun less so, and the couple’s periodic attempts at baby-making lead to hilarious scenes in the early portions of Jyoti Kapoor’s screenplay. Entering the bedroom shouldn’t be like going on a surgical strike, Varun complains, and he performs his husbandly duty as enthusiastically as a forcibly conscripted soldier.
The couple finally seeks professional advice. The Joshis (Adil Hussain and Tisca Chopra) are in vitro fertilisation specialists and the beaming bearers of “good news”, promising to remove all obstacles in the journey of sperm meeting egg. However, Deepti and Varun Batra aren’t the only couple who have made sexual intercourse into a chore. There’s another pair of Batras from Chandigarh, Honey (Diljit Dosanjh) and Monika (Kiara Advani), and a mix-up ensures that Honey’s goods enter Deepti’s womb while Varun turns out to be the one responsible for the swelling of Monika’s belly.

It’s a clever premise for a comedy of errors, and it also helps that Good Newwz is grown-up and matter-of-fact about adult bodily functions and needs. It all works perfectly until both women get pregnant and questions are raised about the fate of their forthcoming progeny. The Mumbai Batras are posh and polished, while the Chandigarh Batras are walking advertisements for small-town bling. Should Deepti give birth to a child who might resemble the very loud Honey, and should Varun allow his seed to take root in Monika, who mangles her English and does not quite seem to understand what is at stake? The snobbery at the core of this conundrum is taken as seriously as the fate of the bumbling Joshis
The avoidable and yet seemingly inexorable slide into sentimentality bloats a narrative that works best when it stays in comic mode. The dialogue, by Jyoti Kapoor, Raj Mehta and Rishabh Sharma, produces several zingers, and Varun has the best lines and reactions to the ridiculous situations into which the two sets of Batras are forced. Akshay Kumar is in fine form this time round, and Kareena Kapoor is equally lovely as the highly focused Deepti. They make a far more convincing couple than Honey and Monika, who play up the Punjabi stereotypes and conform to the tired notion that hicksters have a bigger heart than city slickers. Varun’s disinterest in his wife’s pregnancy is contrasted with Honey’s attentiveness to both Deepti and Monika. Honey might be as subtle as the rapper whose first name he shares, but the movie suggests that he da man.

Why not simply adopt? The answer to this question, as well the other one about whether Deepti should abort her child before causing further mayhem, gets the conservative treatment that is to be expected from a movie that celebrates the need to converse the gene pool. Good Newwz is orthodox about the necessity of childbearing (compared to a blessing from above) and abortion (treated on par with murder), but also speaks up for the right of women to bear children no matter who the father is. The news is mostly good for everybody concerned in the movie, expect for those who believe in abortion or adoption in the real world.
'You' Season 2 stalks onto Netflix with a new twisted romance
"You" joins a long list of programs that found a second life on Netflix, but with a peculiar twist: Lifetime actually ordered two seasons in advance, only to experience buyer's remorse after airing the first. The show found a warmer reception on Netflix, which brings the stalker drama back with all of quirky, unsettling appeal intact.
Based on Caroline Kepnes' book, the first season of "You" focused on bookstore employee Joe (Penn Badgley), whose unhealthy obsession with a young women prompted him to use his web savvy to insinuate himself into every part of her life. A relationship ensued, but Joe was frequently dealt wild setbacks, inflicting a whole lot of collateral damage before Beck's death, and a cliffhanger that implied more trouble ahead.you season 2 netflix

Season two finds Joe having moved to another city seeking refuge, taking up residence in Los Angeles, where all the usual "Love your script" stereotypes apply. Before long, however, a new woman, the unfortunately named Love (Victoria Pedretti), has caught his eye, launching him down a road similar to the one that he just navigated, despite his heavily narrated protestations to the contrary.
"I won't let this situation go bad," Joe muses in a later episode. "I've been through that."
Indeed he has, and one of the particularly clever -- if somewhat queasy -- aspects of "You" is that it forces the audience to see things through Joe, despite what a damaged and dangerous loon he is.
Badgley, in fact, makes him oddly sympathetic, to the extent that's possible. It helps that the writers (topped by executive producers Sera Gamble, Sarah Schechter and Greg Berlanti) derive considerable humor from the strange moments in which Joe finds himself, a bit like that scene in "Psycho" when Norman Bates is seized by momentary panic when the car he's trying to hide doesn't immediately sink into the lake.
Joe, moreover, isn't the only bad guy around, which gives his exploits a small "Dexter" vibe. In this case, that includes his interactions with a sleazy celebrity (Chris D'Elia) who, the evidence suggests, might harbor an unhealthy interest in young girls.

In some respects, "You" just feels like one of the CW shows that Berlanti produces -- just really sharply executed, with a densely serialized edge. This season's arc does feel more layered, including flashbacks that offer further insights, perhaps, into how Joe became the way he is -- not to the point of excusing it, but better understanding what shaped him.
The suave killer, of course, is an unfortunate trope in movies and TV, and "You" can't be divorced from that context. Buried within the show, though, is a warning about social interactions in the modern age, and the way people can be manipulated online thanks to the volume of information that's available.
In that sense, the series serves as a highly binge-able, very modern thriller, if not, hopefully, what anyone will view as a template for modern romance.
"You" Season 2 premieres Dec. 26 on Netflix.

मुंबई: 'बिगबॉस 13' की कंटेस्टेंट रश्मि देसाई के पूर्व पति और 'सुपर 30' के अभिनेता नंदीश संधु ने क्रिसमस के दिन अपना जन्मदिन मनाया है. एक वेबसाइट के मुताबिक रश्मि और नंदीश की मुलाकात टीवी सीरियल 'उतरन' के सेट पर हुई थी और 2012 में दोनों ने शादी कर ली, हालांकि शादी के चार साल बाद उनका रिश्ता टूट गया.
रश्मि का दावा था कि उनकी शादी टूटने की वजह नंदीश की कई सारी महिला मित्र थीं. वहीं, नंदीश का कहना था कि वे रश्मि के अत्यधिक संवेदनशील व्यवहार से परेशान थे. जब दोनों की तलाक की खबर सामने आई थी, तब नंदीश की कई तस्वीरें सामने आई थी, जिसमें वह कई लड़कियों के साथ नजर आए थे.
अपने तलाक के बारे में रश्मि ने कहा, "अगर नंदीश ने हमारे रिश्ते को शत प्रतिशत दिया होता तो हमारे बीच कभी गलत नहीं होता. मुझे उसकी महिला दोस्तों से कोई दिक्कत नहीं थी. मैंने कभी उस पर शक नहीं किया. मैं अपने काम और यात्रा में व्यस्त थी. मुझे यह भी पता नहीं था कि वह किसी को डेट कर रहा था या नहीं. यहां तक कि अब भी अगर वो कर रहा है तो उसे इसका आनंद लेना चाहिए. मैं उसके मंगल भविष्य के लिए कामना करती हूं."
